Last on my list is comic Greg Giraldo who died in September from an overdose on prescription medication. He was a very funny stand-up comic who was best known for his appearances on the Comedy Central Roasts.

I know I have missed many different people with this list and it isn’t a slight. There is simply too many who passed away this year for me to list everyone so I chose those who stuck out in my mind. My condolences to anyone who lost a friend, a family member or someone they admired this year. May 2011 be a happier year and the memories of those who we have lost put a smile on your face.
