Monday Robot: Teena Marie, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus
Teena Marie dies at age 54, Demi Lovato celebrates Christmas and Miley Cyrus wants to better herself.
Well Christmas has come and gone and while I love spending time with family, I am glad it is over. As we get back into the work week, several of our favorite celebrities are making headlines. Tragedy struck as Teena Marie died on Sunday at the age of 54. Demi Lovato left rehab over the weekend to spend Christmas with her family and Miley Cyrus divulges her 2011 New Year’s resolution. As you get over the intense holiday season and get back to work, enjoy this quick little rundown of morning news.
The first bit of news is really tragic as we discuss the death of R&B icon, Teena Marie. Marie started out as one of Rick James’ prodigies and quickly rose to stardom. Teena Marie went out on her own and over the years she collaborated on various artists throughout the music industry. When Teena Marie died yesterday at the age of 54, tons of tributes began to pour in as artists recognized one of the greatest collaborators to ever sing in the music industry. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Teena Marie’s friends and family.
Next up is some happier news as the Disney star turned rehab bound teen Demi Lovato had a nice Christmas. It turns out Lovato left rehab and spent Christmas with her family. The troubled Disney star said Christmas was her favorite holiday and was allowed to spend the day around the people she loves the most. Of course, later Christmas night Demi Lovato checked back into the rehab facility where she will continue her treatment. We want to wish Demi Lovato a Merry Christmas (yes I know it’s late) and hope that she is released from rehab soon.
Last but not least is our frequent troubled Disney star, Miley Cyrus. This time we have no scandalous news to report on the young Hannah Montana star. It seems that Cyrus has let everyone know her plans for 2011. While I know you pervs are hoping for a Miley Cyrus playboy shoot, I don’t think that’s going to happen. It turns out that Miley’s plans for the New Year is to “make people happy.” In a Christmas video released over the weekend, Miley Cyrus showed off her more mature side as she stated she wanted to travel, do a tour and help people next year. Could Miley be growing out of her party girl teen stage rather quickly? Only time will tell as 2011 is right around the corner.
That wraps up the morning news and I look forward to bringing you more as the day progresses.
