After a heartbreaking couple of episodes starting with Captain Phil Harris having a stroke. Discovery Channel will conclude their Captain Phil Harris tribute episodes tonight with a 2-hour special.
We last left Captain Phil Harris in Anchorage, Alaska where he was rallying back in the ICU from a massive stroke. Both sons, Jake Harris and Josh Harris were there alongside their father Phil. At the end of last week’s episode we find Josh Harris and Jake Harris in a heated fight, which ended with younger son Jake Harris, walking out.
This week in what is going to be an emotional 2-hour special, we watch, as Captain Phil Harris dies; a first for reality television. Producers of Discovery Channel’s ‘Deadliest Catch’ made sure they kept the wishes of the Harris family when they decided to air the death of their beloved Captain Phil Harris.
As long as they showed respect and portrayed Phil Harris as the kind-hearted fisherman that he was, the family agreed that it was only right for the world to see Captain Phil Harris and his final breath.
