Taylor Swift Charity Photo Shoot
Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and several other big name country superstars are lending their good looks to charity.
Taylor Swift and Keith Urban were joined by fellow country stars Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and more who all posed for pictures at their favorite Nashville landmarks. Urban’s favorite was the famous Gruhn’s Guitars. These series of portraits along with a collection of other items including a guitar signed by Taylor Swift, a chance to meet Urban, a tour of the Grand Ole Opry and other items are all up for auction until Friday, December 17th. All of the proceeds from the auction will go towards helping those who lost everything in last May’s devastating Nashville flood.
Keith Urban is all too familiar with losing everything to natural disaster. When he was 10 years old his family’s house burned to the ground. They were forced to turn to friends, family and charities for help. “We lost our clothes, everything,” Urban recalls. “The Red Cross gave us clothes. Friends gave us a place to live.” When he was asked to be a part of this charity event he jumped at the opportunity. “People are still hurting from that flood,” Brad Paisley added. “Lots of people are still going through hell.”
All of the items are up for auction (Taylor Swift’s guitar included) are available at charitybuzz.com. You can just click on the charity button and select People Country from the list. As of this writing the top bid drawing item was the opportunity to meet Keith Urban at the concert of your choice as well as getting a framed autograph photo of him taken for the event. It was currently going for $7,500. The Taylor Swift autographed guitar was currently at $1,300. The action closes at 8pm EST on December 17th.
