larry king liveWe bid farewell to Larry King tonight as the last Larry King Live show will air tonight at 9pm on ET.

Larry King, 77,  is a definite media icon, and tonight will mark the final episode of Larry King Live on CNN. King has been on air at CNN for 25 years, and has made quite a name for himself. His show will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest and will air at 9pm ET tonight.

Larry King isn’t revealing what guests will be appearing on his final show, but if the guests of the past few days are anything to judge by, it’s going to be big. This past week King has spoken with Conan O’Brien, Susan Boyle, Wynonna and Naomi Judd, and just yesterday (Wednesday) he visited Barbara Streisand in her Malibu abode for an hour long interview. Some speculators believe Katie Couric and Barbara Walters will show up.

Larry King is widely perceived to be one of the greatest broadcasters in television. Over the years he has received an Emmy, 2 Peabody Awards, and 10 Cable ACE awards. While his regular Larry King Live shows will cease, he will still be appearing on CNN, doing four specials a year. Piers Morgan (you may know him as a judge from America’s Got Talent) will be taking over his time slot.
