Al Roker is set to host this year’s Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s Together for Care Telethon airing tomorrow night on NBC. Many celebrities such as Wilson Phillips will come together to support Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers.
Wilson Phillips, sisters Carnie and Wendy Wilson and Chyna Phillips recently reunited to record their latest album Christmas in Harmony, now in stores and available for online purchase. It’s filled with light melodies and the classic Christmas songs we all love to listen to.
Wilson Phillips first came out in 1990 with five top twelve singles, including “Hold On’. The group broke up quite a few times, with the sisters Wendy and Carnie Wilson only getting together in 1993 to record their first Christmas album.
In 1999 Carnie Wilson decided on having a gastric bypass surgery after weighing in at over 300 pounds. It was a difficult time for the singer, but she was able to slim down that is until recently. Carnie was fired as a spokesperson for ‘The Fresh Diet.’ I guess her diet wasn’t ‘fresh’ enough because the singer stopped losing weight and started gaining again. Her cheesecake line might be the cause of her gain.
The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Together for Care Telethon with Wilson Phillips performing airs tomorrow night on NBC.
