Heath Ledger: Will Dead Actor Appear in Nolan’s Final Batman?
Christopher Nolan just may resurrect the deceased Heath Ledger in his new film “The Dark Knight Rises.”
With the third and final Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises (directed by Christopher Nolan) soon to start shooting, many are wondering if Heath Ledger will rise from the dead to resume his role as the joker.
Rumors are surfacing stating that director Christopher Nolan is going to use unused footage of Heath Ledger as the joker in “The Dark Knight”, although he has said many times after “The Dark Knight” was released that he wasn’t going to include the Joker in the final film, he felt “uncomfortable.”
Has Christopher Nolan since then changed his mind? Would Ledger’s family consent to it?
An inside source stated that, “Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker.”
In January of 2008, Heath Ledger sadly was found dead in his SoHo apartment in Manhattan. Test results showed Ledger had passed away from an accidental overdose of prescription pills; he was only 28 years old… After his death, he received over 30 awards for his role as the joker in the Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece, The Dark Knight.
Heath leaves behind one daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger, who is now 5 years old, with actress Michelle Williams.
The Dark Knight Rises is to begin shooting May 2011 for a July 20, 2012 release.
