Glee Season 2 Preview: Dirty Dancing, Sectionals and Special Education
A quick preview of tonight’s brand new episode of Glee, entitled “Special Education.”
In this week’s episode of Glee titled “Special Education” we find some people getting used to their new surroundings just in time to face off against their old friends. Kurt (Chris Colfer) is now going to Dalton Academy where he joins the Warblers which is fronted by the very talented Blaine (Darren Criss) who we get to see knock out a version of Train’s “Hey Soul Sister.”
Meanwhile, as everyone is still smarting from Kurt’s departure, it doesn’t change the fact that Sectionals are coming up and New Directions (Glee club) will be going head-to-head with the Warblers and the Hipsters.
As the action at Sectionals heats up we can also look forward to the return of everyone’s favorite dentist Carl (John Stamos) as he and Emily (Jayma Mays) start to get a little closer even while other’s relationships are being strained. As the kids of New Directions prepare for their face-off with the Warblers they can’t help but wonder if the third group in the mix, the suddenly added Hipsters, is nothing more than a decoy.
Expect drama, emotion and plenty of singing in this one. Look for the aforementioned version of “Hey Soul Sister” as well as Kurt and Rachel (Lea Michele) knocking out a duet of “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.” You can also look for Florence and the Machine’s “Dog Days are Over” and Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie” to get the Glee treatment. Fresh off the heels of Jennifer Grey winning Dancing With the Stars, Glee goes Dirty Dancing with their take on “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”
All of the Glee songs from this episode are already available on iTunes so you can grab the before the episode even airs and get yourself ready for the good times.
