Taylor Swift: “Speak Now” World Tour, Taylor Lautner and Thanksgiving Special
Taylor Swift announces world tour, opens up about Taylor Lautner and prepares for a Thanksgiving Day special.
Taylor Swift’s new album, ‘Speak Now’, which was released October 25th, has many great songs, but there is one ballad called Back to December, that has us listeners wondering if it was about her past relationship of about three months with Taylor Lautner.
Taylor Swift, who will be celebrating her 21st birthday on December 13th, opened up about the meaning of ‘December’ after her win at the American Music Awards. The country singer said:
“You know, in life, you learn lessons. And sometimes you learn them the hard way. Sometimes you learn them too late.”
“The song ‘Back to December’ is about a lesson I learned too late. And I think, when you do that, and you finally realize that you were wrong; you need to say you’re sorry. And this was the best way that I knew how.”
Taylor Lautner wasn’t specifically named as the person Swift was writing the song for, but she did tell PEOPLE magazine that, “The person I wrote this song for deserves this. This is about a person who was perfect to me in a relationship and I was really careless with him.”
Taylor Swift will be performing a Thanksgiving Special this Thursday on NBC 8|7c. She will be singing ‘Back to December’ as well as many other songs from her new album ‘Speak Now’
