She parlayed that into a position on the original show “The Real Housewives of New York.” She starred on “Real Houswives” for three seasons
Prior to her TV career and SWTS, Bethenny Frankel attended the Natural Gourmet Culinary Institute in New York. After she graduated she started a company named Bethenny Bakes where she made wheat, egg and dairy-free baked goods and meals for private clients. She folded that company in 2009 to from her Skinnygirl brand.
In March of 2009 Bethenny Frankel wrote and released her first book, Naturally Thin: Unleash Your Skinnygirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting. Nine months later she released her second book, The Skinnygirl Dish: Easy Recipies for Your Naturally Thin Life. She has also released an exercise DVD and audio book. In June of 2010 Bravo launched a spinoff of her show The Real Housewives of New York with Bethenny Getting Married. Bethenny Frankel seems to live a healthy lifestyle and she is in good shape which should help her on Skating With the Stars. But the ice rink is a long way from the luxury apartments and gourmet foods of Manhattan that she is used to.
