According to the Los Angeles Police Department, at 3 a.m. this morning, police and fire rescue responded to a call of a car going down a cliff in the Hollywood Hills.

Officer Norma Eisenman stated: “Charlie Sheen’s 2010 Mercedes Benz was found near his Sherman Oaks home. Officers checked the Mercedes’ plates and confirmed it belonged to the actor.” She continues on saying: “someone apparently took the vehicle from Sheen’s driveway, where it had been parked Monday afternoon.”

This is the second time in a time span of less than 5 months that Sheen has had his vehicle taken.  Prior to this incident, another Mercedes Benz belonging to Charlie Sheen was reported stolen in February of 2010. It was also found upside down on Mulholland Drive, at a nearby cliff, a mile from where this second incident occurred.

Both times, Charlie left his keys in the car, which was parked in his driveway in a gated community. Officers have already been to Sheen’s home; Charlie stated the last time he noticed his car sitting in the driveway was at around 4 p.m.  He said he had no idea the car was stolen until police went to his home.

Sheen’s publicist Stan Rosenfield has yet to give a statement.

Charlie Sheen is the youngest son of actor Martin Sheen, known best for playing Charlie Harper on the Primetime Emmy award winning, TV sitcom: ‘Two and a Half Men’. In February 2010, Sheen publicly announced that he would take a break from ‘Two and a Half Men’ to willingly enter a rehab facility.

In March, Sheen’s press representatives announced that he was preparing to leave rehab and return to work on the popular sitcom. On May 18, 2010, Sheen signed an agreement to return to the sitcom for another two years for a reported $1.78 million per episode. Anything and everything Charlie Sheen at Amazon
