Bristol Palin: Vote Me Off Of Dancing With The Stars!
Dancing With The Stars aired its 200th episode last night and Bristol Palin scored low once again.
As Dancing With The Stars kicked off their 200th episode they started it with a big group dance competition. Past champions Kristi Yamaguchi and Apolo Anton Ohno returned and picked teams made up of the remaining dancers. Those teams then competed in a group cha cha competition that was scored by the judges and those scores were to be added to the individual dancer scores later in the show. This week also saw the return of some past favorites who presented one of their best dances then sat in and judged the dancer who would be reinterpreting it this week. While there were no dancers that bombed, there were some that were not as good as the others and they are this week’s losers.
Kyle Massey was the first to go this week. He would be dancing a pasa doble that was first performed by Mel B. and Maksim. Kyle was having fun with it. He knew he would have to get aggressive and be more intense, but he still goofed off some in rehearsals as he used a pen to draw some abs on himself while trying to channel his inner Maks. He did pretty good and for the most part was able to tap into an aggressive side that he hadn’t really shown before. The judges, including Mel B. liked it. She thought he was sexy. He got a score of 35 that when added to the score from the group competition gave him a total of 57 out of a possible 70.
As per normal, Bristol Palin was her typical average self. She danced a Viennese Waltz that had been previously performed by Kelly Osbourne. She seemed to have fun in rehearsals and worked on trying to bring her personality to the performance. Her performance seemed to be pretty simple and basic (I have a feeling Mark is trying to keep things simple so she can do well at them), but it was pretty and for the most part Bristol Palin pulled it off. Kelly sympathized with her about coming from a famous family and being thrust into the spotlight. The judges liked her, but said she still wasn’t connecting with the audience very well. She got a 33 which when added to her group score gave her a total of 57 out of a possible 70 for week 7 of DWTS.
As I said, there was no dancer who really screwed up this week, but in my eyes these were the two who were a little on the lower end. Kyle was the better of these two. It is getting harder to pick the good from the bad, but in my eyes these two are still on the lower end.
Tune in tonight to see if Kyle Massey or Bristol Palin is voted off when the 2010 DWTS Live Results Show airs at 8|9c on ABC.
