Lady GaGa Gives The Finger
Yesterday at New York Mets vs. San Diego Padres game, Singer and songwriter Lady Gaga greeted photographers and booing fans by giving them the finger multiple times. Ms. Gaga complained about her premium seats near home plate, it was too close. Gaga who was sporting only a bikini with a black leather jacket, sunglasses and a headband was moved to a luxury box, owned by Jerry Seinfeld, with beer and her crew. A spokesman for Seinfeld and wife Jessica said, “The Seinfelds take an optimistic view of Lady Gaga’s gesture as a sign that she wants the Mets to be in first place as badly as they do.”
Gaga later tweeted, “A middle finger is more New York than a corporate ambush,” “I bleed for my hometown, and I’d die for my fans.” Later in a second tweet she stated, “I guess I’m just a Bronx cheer kind of girl.”
Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, grew up in Manhattan. She worked as a songwriter for fellow label artists and captured the attention of Akon, who recognized her vocal abilities, and got her signed to his own label, Kon Live Distribution. Her debut album, “The Fame” was released on August of 2008. Its first two singles, “Just Dance” and “Poker Face”, became number-one hits, giving her six Grammy Award nominations and won for Best Electronic/Dance Album and Best Dance Recording.
Lady Gaga’s second album in 2009, “The Fame Monster”, top the charts yet again with her lead single “Bad Romance”. “The Times” reported as of May 2010, Gaga has sold over 15 million albums and over 40 million singles worldwide. “Time” magazine included Gaga in its annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world in its May 2010 issue.
