Comic Con 2011: Flood Of Nerds Crash Computer Sales System!
It is confirmed that the reasoning behind the re-scheduling of the Comic Con 2011 ticket sales was a massive flood of nerds crashing the system.
Comic Con 2011 was evidently not prepared for the overwhelming number of geeks that would actually want to purchase passes for next years event. I have already reported that the ticket sales have been re-scheduled and now we know why! Due to an immense amount of traffic, the Comic Con 2011 computer systems crashed. The Official Comic-Con Website has issued this statement regarding the crash:
“We are really sorry for the problems with registration today. We do not know what the technical issues are, so we have temporarily closed registration. We will announce on Monday, November 8th, the new date and time that registration will reopen. This down-time will allow us to determine and address the issues. Only a handful of badges were actually sold today. Thank you for your patience, and again, we all are truly sorry for this inconvenience. ”
I guess for all of you that did not get your Comic Con 2011 passes today better mark November 8th on your calender. Let’s just hope that they have their “technical” issues resolved by then.
