When you think of Halloween, you think spooky costumes and tons of candy right? Thanks to the episode of Modern Family which aired last night, I will now think of “Baby Cheeses” and laughing hysterically when Halloween is mentioned.

It all started last night when Modern Family Season 2 aired it’s episode entitled “Halloween.” We find Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) attempting to get the Dunphy clan into the spirit of her favorite holiday. While Phil (Ty Burrell) and Luke (Nolan Gould) are on board, Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Alex (Ariel Winter) are not that into it.

As the Dunphys prepare for an epic Halloween disaster, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) are dealing with their own personal debacles. Mitchell decides to dress up in a costume for his office’s Halloween party. Come to find out that nobody except two other losers dressed up. In a moment of panic, Mitch throws on a business suit over his Spiderman costume.

Meanwhile Jay (Ed O’Neill) finds himself in hot water with Gloria (Sofia Vergara). When Jay confronts Gloria about her accent, she gets pretty upset. The funniest part of the night is when Jay opens up a package that is supposed baby cheeses (an assortment of different little cheese snacks). Of course, his secretary couldn’t understand Gloria’s accent when she ordered them and thought she meant Baby Jesus! I about died from laughter at the moment Jay pulled a baby jesus doll out of the box. Little things like that are the reason I watch Modern Family week after week.

Last nights ‘Halloween’ episode ends with everyone at the Dunphy household, preparing for their spooky haunted house. We find Gloria talking with no accent (it def. did not sound sexy), Jay is messing up the fog, Cam is having a nervous breakdown about his traumatizing Halloween experience and Claire is fed up that everyone is ruining her holiday. However, when all is said and done, they come together as a family and deliver a flawless Modern Family haunted house experience.

Tune in next Wednesday night when Modern Family Season 2 returns at 9|8c on ABC.
