kurt warner dwts fumbleKurt Warner had a disastrous performance on week 6 of Dancing With The Stars Season 11.

It was rock week on Dancing With The Stars and this week saw some shake-ups on the dance floor.  Like every week there were those who did well and those who were not so good. This recap will cover those that didn’t do so well. These are the DWTS losers for the week.

Kurt Warner took a big step forward last week with his quickstep. This week he got the paso doble, a Spanish dance of passion. He was having trouble tapping into his inner rock star so his partner Anna Trebunskaya brought in Poison singer Bret Michaels to help give him some rock star swagger. His dance was decent, but he seemed to be back to being the stiff Kurt, not the one who was having fun and at times was too intense for the judges. The judges didn’t care for his dance and felt he took another step back this week. He got an 18, the lowest score of the week.

The other loser of the week was Jennifer Grey. I know that sounds out-of-place, but it is true. Her rehearsals seemed to tax her physically, but she promised to take all her emotion and sink it into her dance. Going into their Paso doble she was focused and ready. The dance started strong, but fell apart. They missed a couple of major steps and she was so high energy that she seemed frantic and out of control. Carrie thought she needed to calm down and not be so aggressive. Len and Bruno both agreed that it was too much rage and not enough technique. The judges even commented on how she was the chosen one and the last two weeks has struggled. She scored a 20, the second lowest score of the night, but she did finish second during the marathon and got an extra 9 points to add on to her final score which puts her up high enough that she should be safe this week.

It was one of those weeks on Dancing With The Stars where some people that normally don’t struggle did and those who do normally struggle didn’t. It is becoming clear now with Kurt that if it is dance he is comfortable with he does well, but if he feels at all out of his element he struggles. He will have to figure out a way to get past that if he wants to continue on.

Find out if America voted Kurt Warner or Jennifer Grey off of DWTS when it airs live tonight at 9|8c on ABC.
