Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, split into two films

Summit Entertainment confirms the fourth and final book of the Twilight series: Breaking Dawn, will be split into two films. Bill Condon will direct part II of Break Dawn and I. Bill Condon released a statement stating, “I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book – and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience.” Condon directed and was one of the writers for the 2006 Oscar winning film “Dreamgirls”.

Melissa Rosenberg, the screenplay writer for Eclipse, will continue on to write the screenplays for both parts of Breaking Dawn. The first Breaking Dawn is set to debut in theaters on November 18, 2011. No release date has been confirmed for the second film installment as of yet. However, the continuation of the Twilight saga; Eclipse is set to hit theaters June 30th.

The Twilight series was written by Stephenie Meyer’s in 2005, it was the most popular novel that caught the attention of both teens and adults. In a short period of time it was ranked #5 on the “New York Times” bestseller list. Three Twilight sequels followed through out the years and all ranked #1 on the “New York Times” bestseller list.

Twilight is a romantic love story, 17-year-old Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart Bella moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father. She ends up becoming curious and drawn to a classmate, the pale Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, who is constantly pushing her away. They instantly fall in love and Edward finds himself having to tell her about his vampire family. This love affair between human and vampire leads to many life-threatening obstacles, including her feelings for her werewolf best friend, Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner.

Twilight and Twilight saga: New Moon is available on DVD, Blue Ray and iTunes.
