“DWTS” Preview: Contestants Prepare To Rock N’ Roll For Week 6

dwts week 6 previewDWTS contestants are ready to rock n’ roll as week 6 airs live tonight.

Coming off of last week’s surprise elimination of Florence Henderson it is hard to know exactly what to expect from Dancing With The Stars this week, but there are a few things we know for sure.

First off, this is a two-dance week so each contestant will have to do two dances tonight. I’m not 100% sure how they will schedule this. They may have each team do both dances at the same time or they could run through them all for the first dance, then do it again for the second dance. My gut tells me that second option will take too long so they will have each contestant come out, do their first dance then follow it up immediately with their second dance. They will then have the judges score them for both at the same time. Again, I can’t be sure of this, but it may take too long to let each team dance, score them then have them change, dance and get a second score.

The second thing we know for sure is that it is rock week on DWTS so the contestants will dance to some rock n’ roll. I’m looking forward to seeing how they put together ballroom dances with some rock attitude thrown in.

There is sure to be some controversy over Florence being voted out last week, Bristol Palin still being around and I would imagine that rehearsals this week were hell. Only having a few days to learn once dance seems pretty taxing, but now having to learn two separate dances in that same time could cause some of the contestants to melt down.

This will be one of those weeks where we really see who the contenders are because they will be the ones that find a way to work through the struggle and drama of learning so much in such a short time and will come out strong with a couple of good dances. Those that melt under the pressure could find this to be their last week on the show. As we saw last week just about anyone can go at anytime so each week you have to give it your all or it could be your last week on Dancing With The Stars Season 11.

Over the past few weeks on Dancing With The Stars we have started to see a separation in the quality of dancers. I think this week will be one of those weeks where the really good dancers take a big step forward and really show that they are in a class by themselves.

Be sure to tune in tonight when the 2010 DWTS competition airs live at 8|7c on ABC.
