Another Fumble in Brett Favre-Jenn Sterger Saga
Another fumble in the Brett Favre-Jenn Sterger saga.
Jenn Sterger, undoubtedly not in the fashion Vikings quarterback Brett Favre allegedly intended, has the QB and the NFL by the you-know-whats.
As reported by TMZ Friday, Brett Favre’s alleged sexting investigation by the NFL has come to a complete stop and won’t be progressing anytime soon without Jenn Sterger’s assistance. Sources say the NFL cannot move forward with their look into Favre’s actions without Sterger, because they’ll need to prove the graphic photos and text messages exist.
Jenn Sterger, former Jets employee and current Versus reporter was splashed into the scandal section of the Internet earlier this month when Sterger was the subject of reported lewd texted photos and voicemails that served as failed attempts to sleep with the reporter, all from Brett Favre. Other reports additionally allege that Favre made a phone call (first name Booty) in June 2009, prior to Favre’s Vikings assignment, but after Sterger’s Jets employment had ceased. But according to other reports, this detail is moot to the NFL, since they are investigating as a matter of work place behavior, not moral stance.
Brett Favre met with NFL Security Vice President Milt Ahlerich Tuesday, although no details of the meeting have been released. Sterger has not made any public announcements but her rep, Phil Reese said “We don’t want a quick resolution, but the proper resolution.” Whatever that means.
And interestingly, Brett Favre, although handed the opportunity more than once, has not publicly denied any of the allegations brought forth by Jenn Sterger. Favre simply maintained that it’s all “a league issue,” and offered no other insight.
We’ll keep you posted on the riveting details of this ridiculous dramatized booty call as it unfolds.
