It turns out that funny man Zach Galifianakis has a few hateful bones in his body. While he didn’t publicly protest Mel Gibson and his cameo in The Hangover 2, he certainly had a lot of pent up anger on the situation.

We recently reported that Mel Gibson would be making a Mike Tyson like appearance in the second installment of the hit comedy, The Hangover. However, we have now learned that Mel has been dropped from the film as he received a less than thrilling welcome from the cast.

Todd Phllips, director of the Hangover sequel released a statement saying that he was more than happy with the addition of a Mel Gibson cameo to the brand new film. However, it was some of the cast members who did not welcome Mel with such open arms. Zach Galifianakis is quite possibly the man who single handedly had Gibson dropped from the film. He didn’t come out and say it but hinted with public statements about his disappointment with the direction that production of The Hangover 2 was headed.

I know Mel has been in the limelight as of late and I can see how his alleged actions would leave a bitter taste in some peoples mouths. Regardless of a Mel Gibson appearance or not, I have faith that the Hangover 2 will be just as hilarious as the first one. If dropping Gibson from the film makes Galifianakis happy then so be it. The guy was what made the first film a giant success anyways… Keep him happy and you are bound to have another blockbuster hit.

Be Sure To Check Out Zach Galifianakis in his new movie Due Date when it hits theaters nationwide on Novermber 5th.

  1. I didn’t find Jake as what made the movie funny. It was a group effort. Jake didn’t do any better job or even as good as it would have been if Jack Black or someone similar had played the same role.

  2. Sorry, meant to say Zach, not Jake. But either way it wasn’t him that made the role funny, it was the writers. Just about any chubby, dumpy little dude could have read those lines and looked just as funny. Jack Black comes to mind first, but there are plenty of others who could have played the part just as well or even BETTER.

  3. In fact, even American Idol finalist Casey Abrams was just as funny and could have played the part even better!

  4. I mean dude, trowing a tantrum and having Mel Gibson thrown off the movie because you object to his abusive nature, but then not objecting to convicted rapist Mike Tyson? What kind of logic is that? Or maybe logic wasn’t involved. Maybe he was just trying to look politically correct by objecting to Mel and forgot that Tyson was an abusive brute with women?
