the office timothy olyphantHere is a quick recap of the epic Dunder Mifflin sting operation from last night’s The Office Season 7.

The Office Season 7 kicked off last night with Oscar (Oscar Nunez) flaunting his brand new Lance Armstrong bicycle to the Dunder Mifflin employees. Of course head honcho Michael Scott (Steve Carell) attempts to ride the bike and we learn that he never learned the basic mechanics of a bicycle. Let us get on with The Sting that is to come on last nights episode of The Office.

While on a sales pitch, Jim (John Krasinski) and Dwight (Rainn Wilson) run into who they call “the best salesman there is.” Special guest star Timothy Olyphant plays Danny Cordray, a rival paper salesman that constantly steals clients from Dunder Mifflin. Afraid that they might blow the sales pitch, Jim and Dwight call for the assistance of Michael Scott, paper extraordinaire.

Despite throwing everything at the client, they ultimately decide to drop Dunder Mifflin and go with Danny Cordray. Of course Michael Scott is pissed and he, along with Dwight and Jim devise an evil plan to set up “The Sting” at The Office.

Dwight sets up a fake room to house his fake company Solartech. The goal of this sting operation is to use Meredith (Kate Flannery) to lure Danny Cordray into a trap. They will use hidden video cameras to learn the tricks he uses to sell so well. Things take a turn for the wild and creepy when Meredith is turned on by Cordray.

Michael Scott (Steve Carell), sick with the horror show he is watching unfold, pulls the plug on The Sting. Ultimately Michael offers Danny Cordray a traveling salesman position at Dunder Mifflin.

Meanwhile, all throughout the episode last night, Andy (Ed Helms) puts together a little band in the warehouse. Teamed up with Darryl (Craig Robinson) on the keyboard and Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) on the drums. They end the episode with a hilarious song about a frog in love.

I really have to give it to the produces and writers of The Office. I was skeptical that they would let the show slip being that its Steve Carell’s last season. It’s awesome that they have not and continue to deliver hilarious episodes week after week.

Be sure to tune in when The Office Season 7 returns next Thursday night at 9|8c on NBC.
