Glee Season 2 Recap: The Great Duets Conspiracy Episode
On this week’s episode of Glee Season 2, we begin with Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) welcoming a new member to the Glee club, Sam (Chord Overstreet). He also throws a ‘Duets’ challenge at the Glee club members.
Right off the bat it is obvious that Finn (Cory Monteith) has a man crush on the new Glee clubber Sam. Kurt (Chris Colfer) is convinced that Sam is apart of Team Gay.
Kurt eagerly awaited his duet with the new guy Sam, until Finn confronted him and told him to back off. Finn let’s Kurt know that if he were to do the duet with Sam, they would most likely lose Sam to criticism. While his dreams of doing a duet with Sam are crushed, Kurt does the competition solo.
The next duet for this episode of Glee Season 2 is Santana (Naya Rivera) and Mercedes (Amber Riley). These two Glee clubbers perform River Deep Mountain High by Ike and Tina Turner.
Meanwhile Finn and Rachel (Lea Michele) practice an excellent duet of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee. When it comes time for the actual duet competition performance, Finn and Rachel decide to lose on purpose.
Sam, who escaped the clutches of both Finn and Kurt, teams up to duet with Quinn (Dianna Agron). The two Glee clubbers perform Lucky by Jason Mraz.
Artie (Kevin McHale) and his new-found wheelchair-loving girlfriend Brittany (Heather Elizabeth Morris) are teamed up as another duet on last nights Glee Season 2 episode. However, before the actual competition takes place, Artie and Brittany break up, leaving their duet in shambles.
The last couple to pair was Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) who performed their own rendition of Sing.
When all was said and done, Sam and Quinn won the Glee Season 2 duets competition on last night’s episode.
Tune in when Glee Season 2 returns next Tuesday night at 8|7c on FOX.
