The Office Season 7 Recap: The Demon Barber of Dunder Mifflin
Last night The Office Season 7 offered up The Demon Barber of Dunder Mifflin.
Right off the bat last night, The Office Season 7 delivered another WTF! Moment. Andy (Ed Helms) unexpectedly prances into the Dunder Mifflin office and begins singing a score from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Of course what would The Office be without Michael Scott (Steve Carell) to add that breathe of fresh uncomfortable air to the situation?
It turns out that Michael Scott (Steve Carell) auditioned for a part in Sweeney Todd and obviously didn’t get it. We come to find out at the end of the episode of The Office Season 7 that he reenacted an entire episode of Law and Order for his audition piece.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here though, back to Andy being in the play Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The whole goal of him starring in the play is to win back Erin (Ellie Kemper) from the evil clutches of Gabe (Zach Lewis). He offers her tickets to the show and finds out that Gabe will be unable to go. Of course he is thrilled but then she asks if anyone else from The Office will be going. Quickly Andy convinces everyone to come along and watch as he performs. The only two that say they can’t go is Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) because they have no babysitter.
Now let’s head to the theater in which Andy will make his debut on stage during The Office Season 7. Andy awaits the arrival of everyone from The Office, more importantly Erin. Surprised to run into Pam and Jim, Andy has his dreams shattered when he finds out that Erin has agreed to baby sit for them so they could attend the show.
As the show progresses and Andy is up on stage, we find Michael a little bit jealous that he did not get the part. Amidst the chugging of wine right from the bottle and booing the actor of the Sweeney Todd role, Michael manages to pop all of the balloons he brought which made a baby cry, thus ruining the play.
The third episode of The Office Season 7 ends with Pam and Jim realizing the baby crying in the theater is theirs! Erin, who was supposed to be at home babysitting, decided to bring the baby to the show. Michael is still upset about a plumber getting the lead role and Andy realizes that Erin and Gabe are still very much a couple.
What crazy shenanigans will happen next week on The Office Season 7?
