Monday Night Football: Bret Michales and Kelly Rowland Tonight’s Entertainment

Monday Night Football Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots. The Entertainment  in Miami is going to be hot tonight with Bret Michaels and Kelly Rowland.

Miami is known as a high voltage city of lights and entertainment and tonight the lights will be at their brightest as the Miami Dolphins host the New England Patriots. From a strictly football point of view this is a pretty big game considering it is only week 4 of the season. Both teams come into tonight with a record of 2-1. Both team’s only loss comes at the hands of the New York Jets who now lead the AFC East. Whoever wins tonight will be tied with the Jets with a 3-1 record even though the Jets still hold the tiebreaker. Miami has been a thorn in the Patriots side and the Patriots are clearly not the elite team they have been in the past. It is the classic match up of the aging dynasty meeting the young team on the rise.

Football isn’t the only thing on the agenda tonight. Miami is a party town and bringing Monday Night Football back to south beach is reason enough to throw a hell of a bash. Bret Michaels gets the party started with a pre-game live show. Michaels has had a hell of year. In April Michaels was rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pain. An emergency appendectomy was performed. Later that same month he was back in the hospital complaining of severe headaches. He was found to be suffering from a brain hemorrhage and quickly slipped into critical condition. His condition was very grave for a while, but after spending two weeks in the hospital he was released and made a full recovery. Less than a month later he was back in the hospital with numbness on one side of his body. He was found to have a hole in his heart. The condition was treatable and he made another full recovery.

Now past all his health problems Bret Michaels has plenty of reasons to celebrate. He is shooting a reality show and is back on the road performing. He will do an acoustic set at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage on the AT&T Grand Plaza at Sun Life Stadium on Monday night and is reportedly going to perform a few new songs along with Poison classics such as “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Something To Believe In.” Michaels recently released his fourth solo album titled “Custom Built” and is on tour with his band.

Halftime of tonight’s game will feature a performance by one time Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland. Kelly will be performing one of her songs as well as a couple of Destiny’s Child hits including “Survivor.” She is appearing as part of the NFL Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend and part of her show will include appearances by breast cancer survivors.

The night is sure to also feature a who’s who of Miami’s rich and famous. Current American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are part owners. I would look for her to take a night off from judging singers to come out for this big rivalry. Serena and Venus Williams are also co-owners and often show up for games. Gloria Estefan and her husband Emilio also hold an owners stake in the team. Stars like LeBron James, Anna Kournikova and Tiger Woods have been seen at Dolphin games recently so keep your eyes open, you may see someone you recognize.

Celebs aside, it should be a good game. It is still early in the season, but no team wants to take two division losses this quickly in the year so both teams should play very hard.
