The ever popular Real Housewives strand is expanding into a couple new cities and Bravo TV has revealed the date when one will have its premiere.

The Real Housewives of Dallas and The Real Housewives of Potomac are coming to our screens next year.

While the Dallas show is due to launch some time in 2016, the Potomac spin-off has a launch date – 17 January at 9pm ET/PT.

In a statement, Bravo described the Housewives strand as “A global phenomenon that consistently breaks ratings records.

“Now fans are getting more of what they want – stories of dynamic women who make us laugh, cry, cheer and experience unforgettable moments.”

Bravo goes on to describe Potomac, Maryland as “one of America’s most affluent towns”.

The show there will follow the upscale lives of a number of women who are part of society by dint of their marriage, or legacy.

And the network insists the show “will take everyone by surprise!”

For its part, The Real Housewives of Dallas will follow a bunch of southern socialites and social climbers, as they tour glamorous galas, and experience scandals and, the hallmark of the Housewives brand, the clashing of mighty egos.

As with everything in Texas, of course, it’s all done on a grander scale!
