Reality TV Can Ruin Your Life – Draya Michele of Basketball Wives
In a new interview, 30-year-old actor and model Draya Michele has been warning of the dangers of reality TV, even going as far as to claim it can ruin your life.
She has also been talking about her departure from the show Basketball Wives, and said:
“I don’t recommend doing reality TV. I think it can ruin families, relationships and work relationships. It tarnishes your name.”
So it seems Draya has had her fill of the genre after four seasons on Basketball Wives L.A.
“The first two seasons were the hardest but that’s when I enjoyed it most. The last two were the easiest but mentally I was just over it.”
And she added that she doesn’t need every little thing she does to go out on TV where it will be judged. It seems that what she really wants is just a more private life, and it’s kind of hard to argue with that.
- Basketball Wives LA is the Los Angeles-based spin-off of Basketball Wives and premiered over four years ago on VH1. It follows the lives of a bunch of women in some way linked romantically to professional basketball players. Toward the end of this September, the show was renewed for a fifth season
