Jessica Simpson: “I’ll Never Do Reality TV Again”
Hold the front page! In an interview with Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, Jessica Simpson revealed that she’s done with reality TV.
She explained: “That’s very rear view now. I’m open with fans or the media, but don’t want a camera on me all the time.”
Her show Newlyweds, with former husband Nick Lachey was on MTV between 2003 and 2005, and she divorced Lachey the year it finished. (She’s now married to ex-NFL player Eric Johnson, and the couple have two kids.)
Then there was the Nick and Jessica Variety Hour way back in 2004, while Simpson has also had cameos in The Master of Disguise, The Love Guru, and done other reality series including The Price of Beauty in 2010 and Fashion Star (2012-3). She’s also appeared in films like The Dukes of Hazzard and Blond Ambition.
Now, it seems there will be no return back to reality for the 35-year-old.
She admits: “I probably stick my foot in my mouth a little too much. Now that I’m a mom, I probably have to hold it together a little better.”
However, there’s some consolation we can offer fans. Jessica’s planning to return to music.
“Singing is one of my biggest passions. I love to use my voice,” she adds.
Well, she was certainly looking pretty good when she rocked up to the 10th anniversary of the Jessica Simpson Collection in the Big Apple this week, as you can see. So she’s already started turning heads!
