Dancing With The Stars Season 11: Brandy And Maksim Fight Into Week 3
Brandy and Maksim ease into week 3 of Dancing With The Stars Season 11 on ABC.
Brandy wowed the judges in Week 1 of Dancing With the Stars Season 11. She danced up a storm, got plenty of praise from the judges and received a 23, which tied her for second place with Kyle Massey. Week 2 of DWTS was not as easy. During rehearsals she butted heads with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and it looked like they were still at odds during the show. Brandy still danced well, but this time she got a 21. Four dancers (Audrina Patridge, Bristol Palin, Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey) scored higher than she did and she was tied with two others. Brandy had told the judges before that while she had been a singer for years she never did much dancing in her shows so all of this was new to her.
Brandy‘s dance in Week 2 if Dancing With The Stars had her dressed in a schoolgirl uniform and included a part where she did a solo that pretty much just involved her shaking her ass and grinding. While it was hot, it didn’t really fit into the dance and there were rumblings among some fans of DWTS that her 21 was a little bit too high of a score.
What it all boils down to is that Brandy learned in Week 2 that this 2010 DWTS competition is not going to be easy. She is going to have to work at this just like she has in her music and acting careers. If she continues to be at odds with her partner she might find her stock falling. Right now many of the dancers who want to be contenders are on their way up. If her dances fall off a little bit she could become vulnerable. I think she will put her differences with her partner behind her and come out strong this week to reaffirm her position near the top. If she can’t squash whatever is between she and Maksim it could all come crashing down fast and her time on Dancing With the Stars could suddenly come to an abrupt end.
Brandy and Maksim return for week 3 of Dancing With The Stars tonight at 8|7c on ABC.
