Former American Idol finalist Josh Gracin posts apparent suicide note
It’s being reported that ex-American Idol Josh Gracin has apparently posted what looked like a suicide note on Facebook, and as a result is now on an involuntary psychiatric hold while doctors evaluate the singer’s condition.
It seems that police rushed to the Spring Hill home of the former Marine, where he lives with his wife of 13 years, Ann, and their four children, after the chilling letter was posted on the social media site. The note (now deleted) sparked panic and a frenzied search for the 33-year-old.
It appears that cops called Gracin, who came fourth on American Idol in Season 2 in 2003, on the phone when they realized he wasn’t home, and asked him to come home, before going with him to a local hospital.
A message on Gracin’s Facebook page, posted by his manager on Thursday night, gave fans an update.
It reads: “Thanks for your prayers and concern. Josh is safe and with his family now. Please respect their privacy and I promise to update you soon.”
