New Dancing with the Stars Season – pro dancing partners announced
ABC has formally announced the professional dancing partners for the upcoming (19th!) season of Dancing with the Stars.
Returning veteran pros Cheryl Burke, Tony Dovolani, Karina Smirnoff and Val Chmerkoskiy went live on Good Morning America to reveal the line-up.
And, this time, the season is set to feature a trio of newcomers.
Burke, twice a winner, is back for her eighteenth outing on the show. Dovolani is also back for his eighteenth season; he won in season 15, the show’s first-ever all-stars version. Smirnoff won season 13 and is back for her sixteenth competition. Chmerkoskiy joined Dancing with the Stars six series ago and has been part of the team ever since.
Also joining the gang this time are:
- Derek Hough
- Mark Ballas
- Witney Carson
- Peta Murgatroyd
- Emma Slater
As for the three newbies, they’re Artem Chigvintsev, Keoikantse Motsepe and Allison Holker, the former So You Think You Can Dance all-star.
Dovolani had this advice for them: “Don’t stress out. Just enjoy the ride and please the fans. It’s a lot of fun.”
- Celebrity members of the cast are due to be announced on September 4. The season airs live on ABC on September 15 from 8pm ET/PT.
