Second Chance for Ruben Studdard on Biggest Loser – But How Long For?
R & B, pop and gospel singer Ruben Studdard, 35, is best known for triumphing in season 2 of American Idol, but now he’s on something of a winning streak on The Biggest Loser, having being granted a second chance this week on the ranch in the NBC weight loss reality show.
Ruben had been away for a while, but still managed to shed some pounds (eight to be exact) while at home, and his red team were delighted to have him back. We also saw some clips of the singer in his recording studio in the run-up to the dreaded weigh-in – it seems Studdard has been making a song about his participation in the show.
In the end, it was Ruben’s fellow red team member David who saved the group from facing elimination, with an impressive 17b weight loss –and it was Bob Harper’s team who lost the weigh in. Who knows though, how long Ruben will stay on the show for?
Meanwhile, Bob used his last save to keep Matt on board.
Did you see it and were you enthralled? We’ll be keeping an eye on this for sure, and watching with a nice big bowl of buttery popcorn!
