Winner of The Voice is Crowned (Spoiler Alert!)
Three contestants went into the finals of The Voice this week, with Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers on Team Blake Shelton, and Michelle Chamuel singing for coach Usher.
So, as season four named its winner, Shelton notched up his third victory in a row as ….Danielle took the crown.
And, as she battled with tears, she said: “I’m sorry, I’m speechless. I’m so thankful.”
By coincidence, it was also her coach’s 37th birthday on the same night, and so there was an extra cause for celebration. It seems the audience even serenaded him before the show went live!
And let’s not forget that, for the whole season, Shelton has been voicing his hope that a country singer would be named victor – and so it came to pass!
Second place went to Usher’s Michelle, leaving The Swon Brothers in third place. But don’t feel sad for them – the pair say they draw inspiration from Shelton’s wife, Miranda Lambert, who came third on another show, Nashville Star, only to become a massive country star. And, as for Michelle, something tells us we haven’t heard the last of her, either …
