Nicki Minaj: “Not Looking Forward” to American Idol Live Shows
Nicki Minaj has confessed she’s not looking forward to the live shows of the 12th season of American Idol as she’s worried about what could occur between her and the other judges, Randy Jackson, Keith Urban and Mariah Carey.
“I don’t want to look like a crazy psycho because that’s honestly not who I am. And I hope any drama among the judges won’t steal any of the contestants’ thunder. It’s about them, not us. We’ve got a lot of great talent.”
Speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Minaj discussed how her much publicized feud with Mariah Carey all began.
“It was just two big old divas, I guess! Before I went in, I was hearing them say how she didn’t want me on the panel.”
However, the Trinidadian born rapper, singer-songwriter and TV personality insists there are “no hard feelings” going forward. (That’s a relief then.)
Finally, Minaj told Ellen about the long hours on the show, which sometimes involves 10-hour days.
“It’s very strenuous if you’re not ready for it. I don’t even like to take breaks because I wouldn’t want to come back and continue working afterward.”
