Fox Renews So You Think You Can Dance for 10th Season
Love So You Think You Can Dance? Breathe easy. Like The Terminator, it will be back …
A tenth season of the popular reality dance show is on its way, following a contract renewal from Fox.
And the new auditions venues for the new season have been revealed. First up is Austin, Texas, on Friday January 18.
In a statement, Mike Darnell, Fox’s reality programming boss, gushed: “I couldn’t be prouder of the work of the team over the past nine seasons. The show is one of the most compelling on TV right now, and I can’t wait to bring it back for season 10.”
His co-creator and executive producer on the show is Brit Nigel Lythgoe, who first revealed news of the renewal in a tweet this week.
The last season wrapped in September, with dancers Eliana Girard and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp the two reigning champions, who won magazine cover appearances and a cash prize of $125,000.
Other audition cities for the next series include Detroit, Boston, Memphis and LA.
