Kate Gosselin: “Not self-funding own reality show”
While there have been reports that Kate Gosselin has funded her own pilot for a fresh reality project in a bid to convince a cable network to commission it, she herself has strenuously denied the rumors. These suggested that she had been unsuccessful in convincing several other networks to buy her show.
She said of one particular gossip columnist who had run the story: “It’s 100% false.”
The column alleged that three different networks had passed on the chance to make a reality pilot with Kate, and that Gosselin had also approached fellow reality star Kendra Wilkinson to pitch the idea of making a show about moms swapping their children.
Apparently, neither woman’s representatives responded to requests for comments when the gossip columnist contacted them.
Philadelphia born Kate, 37, achieved national and international recognition on the US reality TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8, in which she and husband Jon were profiled as they raised their extraordinary family of sextuplets and one set of twins.
