Cyndi Lauper to Front Own Reality Show
Veteran singer Cyndi Lauper has bagged her own reality TV show, and it starts after the holidays.
With the title She’s Still So Unusual, the 12-part series is set to be aired on cable network WE TV in January.
One New York newspaper has already reported how the show will provide an insight into the 59-year-old Girls Just Wanna Have Fun star’s life as she juggles her music career and family. (Lauper has been married to David Thornton for 20 years, and is mom to her son Declyn, who’s 14.)
The popstrel is no stranger to reality TV, having already featured in 2010’s Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump.
And she was due to join forces with TV mogul Mark Burnett this summer on a reality venture the pair had been working on, called Cyndi, although that project never saw the light of day.
Now each 30-minute helping of the current show promises to be Access All Areas.
Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual premieres on Saturday, January 12 at 9PM ET/PT. A second episode will be broadcast right after this debut at 9:30PM ET/PT on the network.
