X Factor Reveals 10 Finalists in Delayed Partial and Pre-empted Show
Only 10 of the 16 who will take part in the live shows of the second season of The X Factor were revealed during an unexpectedly held up and only partly aired episode of the hit reality show on Fox this week.
A longer than envisioned basketball game which was delayed by rain meant that the East Coast broadcast did not start on time. In the end, only the first half of the two-hour episode aired, so the identity of six of the remaining top 16 artistes is still a mystery.
Fox has said it will re-show the program from start to finish on October 23 and feature all four judges officially deciding their four acts for the live shows.
The partial broadcast depicted judges L.A. Reid and Britney Spears meeting their six acts following the judges’ home round to be told whether they would make the final four to go forward.
At the same time, judge Demi Lovato was seen telling two of her six acts they would be progressing as part of her team. Simon Cowell was not shown speaking to his acts at all. So frustrating – but we’ll keep watching.
