Pop Sensation Shakira Becomes a Knight in a Tennis Dress!
Colombian pop sensation Shakira, she of These Hips Don’t Lie and other catchy tunes, has been awarded the French Legion of Honour – the Chevalier de L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, to be precise! The 35-year-old singer songwriter, who turns 35 this week, accepted the honour in Cannes, France, where she was appearing at the annual NRJ awards.
Her outfit came under fire from one style comentator who said: “While the lacy too-short tennis dress is bad enough, the nail in the coffin really has to be those tacktastic suede knee-high boots. Is this really appropriate attire for accepting a knighthood?”
