The Situation Struggles On Dancing With The Stars
The Situation will struggle this week to stay on Dancing With The Stars.
No dancer had less time to prepare for the premier of Dancing With the Stars Season 11 than did Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino. The Situation was busy wrapping up filming of his hit MTV reality show Jersey Shore so he missed the first two weeks of rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars. With only five days to practice he was unpolished and it showed, but he gave it his all and seemed committed to getting better as this 2010 season of DWTS progresses.
After an awkward performance The Situation got a score of 15 from the judges, which tied him for last place with David Hasselhoff and Margaret Cho. Sorrentino found himself in the bottom four, but avoided elimination on last weeks Dancing With The Stars Season 11 premiere.
Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino came out of nowhere to become a cultural phenomenon over the last year. Jersey Shore became a runaway hit and The Situation was one of its breakout stars. Now he has endorsement deals, products and even a best selling iPhone app. He is everywhere and is taking every opportunity he can to cash in on his 15 minutes of fame. It is for that reason that I think he is committed to working hard and trying to go deep into the Dancing With The Stars competition. Every week he survives is another week in front of the public and another chance for him to build a fan base that he can cash in on. Jersey Shore is a hit and they already have another season in the can, but Dancing With the Stars could elevate The Situation well above his fellow cast mates and line his pockets with even bigger and better deals than he has now. Look for him to try as hard as he can to stick around, but don’t be shocked if he goes home in the next couple of weeks. For every person who is fascinated by him and the phenomenon that he and his cast mates of Jersey Shore have become, there are two people who are sick of them.
