Taylor Swift Speak Now, High School Honoree, Hall Of Fame Fundraiser
Taylor Swift is preparing for her new album Speak Now, getting honored by her High School and performing at a Country Hall of Fame fundraiser.
Taylor Swift, who is currently preparing to debut her brand new album, Speak Now was recently honored by the High School that she attended, not to mention that she just recently joined Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris,Vince Gill and Lionel Richie to perform at a Country Music Hall of Fame fundraiser.
For the students at Henderson High School in Hendersonville, TN, they will now enjoy an auditorium named after the country music sensation, Taylor Swift. While Taylor Swift did donate $75,000 back in 2009 to her old high school, she never demanded that they change the name of the auditorium. You see, Swift donated the money so that the school could update their auditorium with all new equipment and lighting.
Apart from the whole having an auditorium named after her deal, Taylor Swift was also just a part of a huge country music event out in Los Angeles. Taylor Swift joined Kris Kristofferson, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill and Lionel Richie at Club Nokia for the annual All for the Hall concert to support Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame. At the event Taylor Swift stated: “These are the best role models I could have.”
So her we have, Taylor Swift, 20, performing at a Country Music Hall of Fame charity event and being honored with a High School auditorium named after her. What more is there left for the young singer to conquer?
The answer to that question would be Swift’s highly anticipated album, Speak Now. The singer/songwriter came clean earlier this summer with the title of her brand new album and its release date. Since then, Taylor Swift has released two singles from the Speak Now album. The first single, “Mine” was released early due to a leaked copy surfacing on the Internet. Just recently at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Swift debuted the second single off the Speak Now album entitled “Innocent.” Of course the single was shrouded with hype as it was directed at Kanye West and the on-stage mockery he made of Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMA’s.
So there you have it, Taylor Swift has been keeping busy as she awaits the release of her brand new Speak Now album, which hits shelves on October 25th.
