Is the Jersey Shore Drama Welcome in Italy?
So there’s been some fist swinging amongst the Jersey Shore cast, whilst they are filming their new season in Italy. Apparently, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Ronnie exchanged blows, with Mike’s eye bloodshot and his face reddened after the brawl. If anything, Ronnie was doing Mike a favour, as anything done to that guy’s ugly mug would be an improvement. What’s the male version of “Butterface?”
However, this immature behaviour doesn’t seem fitting for an idyllic place like Florence. I can only imagine how embarrassed the poor citizens are, who have to put up with living in the same country as these Jersey Shore fools. There is nothing remotely “Italian” about the way these brats act, and their embracing the “guido” stereotype does a disservice to true Italian-Americans who would never be caught dead calling themselves something as ridiculous as “The Situation.”
Why did The Situation and Ronnie fight? Who cares. If anything, their shenanigans are a publicity stunt, or maybe these guys are finally starting to get sick of each other. Since each cast member of Jersey Shore is pocketing a cool $1 million per episode, I think the boys can afford to lose a bit of blood now and then. In all honesty, I have no beef with Snooki, Pauly D, JWoWW, Vinny, or Deena. The others give me a headache. What do YOU think?
