Wedding bells may be in the very immediate future for Nicole Richie. Nicole, mother of two and daughter of singing legend Lionel Richie, jetted off to Cabo San Lucus, Mexico on Monday along with several of her close friends for a bachelorette party.

Nicole Richie has been involved with Good Charlotte front-man Joel Madden since 2006. The two have two children and have recently begun talking about marriage. Joel was quoted in June as saying, “We haven’t even started planning…” but with Nicole Richie attending a bachelorette party it looks like the wedding day is closer than they have let on.

Joining Richie in Mexico were good friends Christina Aguilera, Samantha Ronson, stylist Simone Harouche and hair stylist Andy LeCompte. They checked into a luxury resort and let the good times roll. While it was reported at first that Nicole Richie was simply celebrating her 29th birthday, sources say that she was seen at a restaurant wearing a bride-to-be sash and a necklace made up of plastic penises.

I think it is safe to say things got a little wild at night as reports (and pictures) say that during the day Nicole spent her time lounging in a bikini and relaxing topless at the pool as she soaked up some sun and recovered from the late nights. She only interrupted her relaxation with a trip to the resort spa for a pedicure and manicure.

While Nicole Richie was relaxing, partying and enjoying margaritas with her friends in Mexico, one of her oldest friends, Paris Hilton, was detained in Japan due to complications with her recent guilty plea for drug possession in Las Vegas. There is no word as to whether or not Paris Hilton was scheduled to join Nicole Richie for her bachelorette bash.
