george straitFOX’s hit show; American Idol has officially gone country!

Going into tonight’s (May 24, 2011) penultimate episode of American Idol Season 10, it’s clear that FOX has gone country. Should we expect to see Ryan Seacrest and the Idol Judges dawning cowboy hats, wranglers and fancy boots with spurs on them? God I hope not! We can however, expect to hear country music on the Idol stage as both finalists possess their own unique southern twang.

Given that both Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina are country bumpkins, it was only fitting for FOX to call in some heavy hitters from the country music genre. Tonight, Carrie Underwood and George Strait will head to American Idol as they choose a song for the finalists. It should be quite interesting to see what these two superstars have to say about the future of country music. How will Scotty and Lauren react to Carrie and George? Who will be the winner of American Idol Season 10?

Make sure you tune in tonight (8|7c) as the final two perform three songs on American Idol season 10. I am sure we will be hearing Yee-Haw at least once tonight and it will be interesting to see how America feels about tonight’s FOX goes country madness.
