Kyle Massey joins the cast of Dancing With The Stars Season 11 tonight on ABC. Get to know a little about Kyle Massey before he hits the dance floor in the 2010 premiere of Dancing With The Stars.

Perhaps one of the reasons that the odds makers have Kyle Massey as the biggest long shot among the men to win the new season of Dancing With the Stars is that he is mostly known to much younger viewers. These viewers most likely don’t make up much of the DWTS audience so he will likely not come to the dance floor with a built in fan base like other contestants will.

At age 19, Kyle Massey is the youngest competitor in this year’s competition (he is about 10 months younger than Bristol Palin), but he has been working steadily since he was twelve years old. Known mostly for his role as Cory Baxter on the Disney Channel hit show That’s So Raven, Massey has also appeared in several other kids oriented shows including Cory in the House (a spin-off of That’s So Raven) and the Electric Company. He also provided the voice of Bertha in the cartoon American Dragon: Jake Long.

While his roots are in acting, Massey has also dabbled in music. He sang the theme to his show Cory in the House and appeared on a Disney Channel Christmas album as well as singing on a few other soundtrack albums.

While Kyle Massey may be one of the biggest underdogs in Dancing With The Stars, he does bring youth, a musical background and experience in front of audiences with him. He could be enthusiastic enough to work hard and go deep into the competition. Dancing With the Stars might be Massey’s attempt to show the world that he is older now and ready for more adult roles and grown-up parts. Making that change from child star to adult star is never easy. If Massey plays his cards right and can build some fan support, this might be the vehicle to help him do that.

Catch Kyle Massey on the Dancing With The Stars Season 11 premiere tonight at 8|7c on ABC.
