Glee Season 2 Preview: Rebecca Black the Prom Queen!
This is the moment Gleeks have been waiting for all season. Tonight’s episode of Glee simply titled “Prom Queen” packs a lot of punch and gets the engine cranked up as we speed towards the season finale just a few weeks away.
There has already been some controversy surrounding this episode of Glee Season 2 A few weeks back a person who worked as a regular extra on the show (Glee employs several regular extras to be in the background so that there are familiar faces in the crowd like you would find at any normal high school) took to their Twitter page and leaked the identity of the prom queen and king. As you might imagine the producers of the show were not very happy. That Glee traitor was immediately fired and they apologized for what they had done.
Tonight we find out if that person who fired off Glee spoilers was correct (I’m not going to spoil it) as the prom queen and king are named. But that isn’t the only drama surrounding the prom. There is a lack of entertainment so Principle Figgins (Iqbal Theba) enlists New Directions to act as the entertainment. There is one little problem. New Directions arch enemy Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is the prom’s coordinator.
Add into the mix the return of Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) and plenty of music and we have an action packed episode of Glee to check out.
Speaking of music, we can expect some interesting choices. The most talked about song is the Glee cast doing “Friday” by Rebecca Black. This is the song that is so bad it instantly became a YouTube hit and has suddenly morphed from being terrible to being that song that is cool to do a cover of. Rachel (Lea Michele) and Jesse do a duet of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.” Also featured this week is Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely?” Abba’s “Dancing Queen” and Christina Perri’s “Jar of Hearts.”
Tune in tonight at 8PM of FOX to see the Glee prom and find out who is king and queen of the night.
