american idol 2011How did the American Idol 2011 contestants react to the Osama bin Laden death?

The Osama bin Laden death will be the most popular news for a while and being that American Idol airs tonight, I figured I would share the reactions of some of the Idol contestants. Keep in mind, I don’t have all of their personal Twitter accounts and these are the ones set up for American Idol season 10. Among the Idol’s who voiced their thoughts on Osama’s death are Casey Abrams, Scotty McCreery, Julie Zorrilla and the host of American Idol, Ryan Seacrest. (NOTE: Just because I didn’t find the other Idol contestant reactions does not mean they didn’t care about the death of Osama bin Laden)

Going in to tonight’s American Idol top 5 performance round, I look for one of the two country singers (Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina) to pick a song that is all about America and our pride. I believe that by doing so, they will score a ton of votes from the viewers as this week everyone is surely proud to be an American, more than ever.

Anyways, here are the American Idol contestants Twitter comments regarding the Osama bin Laden death:

  • Casey Abrams – “@lelemika Aim for the head, and make sure you stay in high places, like a tower or a tall building” (this may or may not be related)
  • Scotty McCreery – “What a significant day for our country! Remembering all those who lost loved one’s on 9/11 and #praying for our country! #USA”
  • Julie Zorrilla – “Go America!”
  • Ryan Seacrest – “Osama bin laden is dead..prez moments away from telling us details on tv live”

What did you feel when you heard the news? Comment below with your thoughts and remember to tune in to American Idol tonight at 8|7c on FOX.
