DWTS 2011: Ralph Macchio, Romeo Week 7 Winners
Ralph Macchio and Romeo both have fast paced dances scheduled for this week on Dancing with the Stars and this could prove to be a challenge for both of them. In the past they have both done well on the slower dancers, but the quicker, up-tempo stuff has given them some difficulty. It will be interesting to see how they handle it.
Romeo is coming off his best week ever. Last week he got the first 10 of the season with his very romantic waltz that ended with a surprise kiss. The judges swooned and Carrie Ann even called it magic. This week Romeo tackles the Samba which is an exotic, fast dance that will ask Romeo to shake what his momma gave him. He has been criticized in the past by the judges for not being fluid enough and getting the hip movement down. Still, he is riding a wave of momentum and confidence so he might just be able to use that, buy into the system and do well this week.
Ralph Macchio has had an interesting ride. He will do fantastic one week, then not so great the next week. Last week he was well on his way to having one of his good weeks when his partner Karina Smirnoff tripped over his jacket and fell. He still got a 24, but would have done much better had the tumble not occurred. That means this might be the week we see the bad Ralph Macchio. It may also mean that he is due for another good performance since the last one kind of fell apart. Dancing the quickstep might be just what he needs. It is a fast dance, but it has some form to it which might help keep him focused.
I have a feeling we will see Ralph do pretty well this week and I think Romeo has turned a page and is feeling good about himself so he will do good as well. I don’t know if either will top the leaderboard, but I don’t think either will be on the bottom. Tune in tonight at 8PM on ABC to watch Ralph Macchio and Romeo on Dancing with the Stars and see where their scores land them.
