Morning Robot: Mariah Carey, Donald Trump, Kid Rock
This weekend has been full of surprises, and gasp-worthy information. First, Mariah Carey gave birth to twins on her third year anniversary with Nick Cannon. You can imagine how psyched they are! Super rich guy Donald Trump has been butting heads with David Letterman, after Letterman addressed Trump’s continuous allegations concerning President Obama’s citizenship. Trump particularly didn’t care for Letterman’s accusing him of being racist. Finally, let’s discuss another guy who has been accused of being a racist, but who has just received an NAACP award-Kid Rock!
At 41 years old, Mariah Carey is still super-hot, and as Saturday, she can officially be called a MILF! Carey gave birth on her third year anni with 30-year-old Nick Cannon, who proudly tweeted, “My wife just have me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life! I won’t ever be able to top this!” Cannon later tweeted, “I’m in the happiest place I’ve ever been in my life. I never had more amazing things happening. I’m humbled by God’s favor.” The couple had their vows renewed on Sunday, by Reverend Al Sharpton.
In news that isn’t so sweet, Donald Trump has been clashing with David Letterman over Letterman’s on-air claims that Trump’s recent behavior. Trump has been questioning whether President Barack Obama is an American citizen (which Obama recently proved when he released his full birth certificate), as well as whether Obama was qualified to get into Harvard. In an on-air discussion that Letterman had with Dr. Phil McGraw, Letterman said, “It’s all fun, it’s all a circus, it’s all a rodeo until it starts to smack of racism.” Donald Trump has responded by cancelling plans to appear on Letterman, and by writing an angry letter to Letterman.
Country singer Kid Rock has also been called a racist in his time, but not many true racists receive NAACP awards! Kid Rock received the Great Expectations Award in his home town of Detroit, on Sunday. Rock has been a controversial figure for unabashedly using the Confederate flag in his performances and videos, and the flag has historically been associated with racism. However, Kid Rock denounced claims of racism in his acceptance speech, where he said, “I’ve never flown that flag with hate in my heart, not one ounce…I love America, I love Detroit, and I love black people!” Kid Rock also donated $100,000 the same night, towards Detroit organizations, and towards Southern state tornado victims.
