Royal Wedding Travel, Fashion Fever
To say that the country of England is currently on the edge of insanity with Royal Wedding Fever would be putting it mildly. It seems like everyone is trying to cash in on the wedding and the madness surrounding it. The rehearsals themselves have been grand in scale involving over 1,000 cavalrymen and taking place at 4am so they can close down streets while causing the least amount of headache to commuters.
Imagine if you will, for some reason you need to get to London this Friday or Saturday so you call up your travel agent looking for a plane ticket. You better have a big limit on your card because if there are any seats (and likely there will not be) they are often going for as much as $3,000 for standard class and $20,000 for first class for a trip from the US into London. Hotel rooms, while likely impossible to find are going for 5-10 times their normal rate. Thank you Royal Wedding!
Doll makers are cashing in. Royal Bride Kate Middleton is very good looking and will likely be a fashion icon for years to come. Toys R Us is now stocking a “royal set” of doll clothes that include a suit, a dress, a bikini and a guess of what her wedding gown will look like. No doubt there will be more actual replicas of the gown once we see it.
From dolls, to trinkets, flags to pictures everyone seems to be going crazy for the royal wedding. I wonder if Kate and the Prince have ever just thought of hopping on a plane and eloping in Las Vegas.
