DWTS 2011: Chelsea Kane Tackles Hines Ward
At this point in the competition you have call Chelsea Kane and Hines Ward the front runners on Dancing with the Stars. It seems like each week while some dancers struggle just to tread water these two continue to impress and seem to get stronger and better.
I had pretty big expectations for Hines Ward right from the star. Football players have a rich history of doing well on DWTS so I assumed he would continue with that tradition. It makes sense that a football player, especially a running back or wide receiver, would do well. In their profession they have to be in top shape, they have to learn a lot of plays and every week they have to pick up a new game plan for that week’s opponent. The same can be said for Dancing with the Stars. Each week Hines Ward has to learn a new dance and being in shape helps him tremendously by giving him the energy and physical ability to do the dancing. Add in the natural athletic talent and it helps make for the complete package.
Chelsea Kane, on the other hand, came out of nowhere. At the beginning of the season on DWTS she was an obscure Disney star. In the promo pictures she looked like a cute girl with a nice smile. Right out the gate she wasn’t all that impressive and was just another middle of the pack dancer, but in week three she found her stride and has not looked back. In just a few weeks Chelsea Kane (with the help of a few very sexy outfits and some great dances) transformed herself from being a middle of the road dancer to being one of the favorites. Along the way she pushed Petra and Kendra aside and also grabbed crown of this season’s DWTS hottie. If she can keep the energy up, I see no reason why she won’t be in the final.
Chelsea Kane and Hines Ward both preform tonight on DWTS. It is Guilty Pleasures week so I look forward to seeing what kind music they choose and interesting dances they do. Tune in tonight at 8PM on ABC to see these two in action.
